This research aims to understand people’s views and expectations of smart water meters and how they would like to see and interact with the information on water use these meters are able to collect.

Just 12% of customers in England currently have a smart water meter but that number is set to rise significantly over the coming years as water companies move away from traditional meters.

We want the insights from this research to help shape companies’ metering programmes and efforts to realise the full benefits that smart water meters can provide.​
