Customer Satisfaction

Water companies will be challenged to show how they can deliver even better customer service for households and businesses across Wales when the Consumer Council for Water (CCWater) meets in Wrexham on Friday, March 31.

The water watchdog will also give consumers the chance to put their questions to senior representatives from Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water, Severn Trent Water and Dee Valley Water during the meeting in public at Glyndŵr University.

The country’s water and sewerage suppliers have been asked to showcase their plans to improve customer service, as well as highlight some of the challenges they are likely to face in the coming months and years.

Tom Taylor, Chair of CCWater’s Wales Committee, said: “Consumer satisfaction with water and sewerage services in Wales is currently very high, but water companies must always strive to do better, there is no room for complacency”

“We have a changing landscape in Wales with the takeover of Dee Valley Water by Severn Trent Water, so we all have to redouble our efforts to ensure customers in Wales get the best service and value for money.”

Among those presenting at the meeting will be Julia Cherrett, Dŵr Cymru’s Managing Director of Retail Services, Andy Hughes, Head of Customer Credit Management at Severn Trent Water and Moira Reynolds, Planning Manager at Natural Resources Wales.

The meeting will start at 10.30am in the Catrin Finch Centre on Mold Road in Wrexham. Anyone interested in attending should email [email protected] or call Jade Painter on 02920 379857.
